ExoDiscovery is an easy to handle tabletop instrument for rapid label-free isolation of nanoscale extracellular vesicles (EVs) from biological liquid samples. One can select and place a disposable disc-like cartridge, ExoDiscTM into the ExoDiscoveryTM system. Each cartridge contains an optimized protocol to isolate extracellular vesicles including exosomes from cell culture supernatant or body fluids such as plasma, serum, urine, CSF etc. Each ExoDiscTM isolates EVs from a biological sample in as short as 10 minutes. The intact EVs are easily retrieved from the disc and are ready for downstream analyses such as NTA, SEM, TEM, western blotting, ELISA, DNA/RNA prep for qPCR, or sequencing.
By leveraging the proprietary fluid-assisted separation technology (FAST), the ExoDiscoveryTM enables simple, rapid and gentle isolation of intact EVs with high yield and purity, allowing the application of precision science to precision medicine.

ExoDisc is for use with the ExoDiscovery and is ideal for rapid, label-free, and efficient isolation of intact extracellular vesicles (EVs) from cell culture supernatants (CCS), urine samples, and small volume of plasma sample. The enriched EVs with high yield and purity are then readily processed for downstream analysis such as NTA, SEM, TEM, western blotting, ELISA, PCR, or sequencing for the application of precision science to precision medicine.
Cell Culture Supernatants: Comparison with other EV isolation Methods
The performance of ExoDisc was compared with two commonly used EV- isolation methods: Ultracentrifugation (UC) and Exo-Spin.
Starting with 1ml of LNCaP CCS, EV's were isolated using three different protocols and characterized by nano particle-tracking analysis (NTA), enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and polymerase chain reaction (PCR). ExoDisc provides >95% recovery of EV's and >100-fold higher concentration of mRNA as compared with UC method.
Urine-based Liquid Biospy: Comparison with other EV isolation Methods
The performance of ExoDisc was compared with other commonly used EV-isolation methods. EV's isolated from PC3 cells (ATCC CRL-1435) transfected with AR-FL and AR-V7 were spiked to 4ml of urine. Isolated EV's were characterized by nanoparticle-tracking analysis (NTA), enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and polymerase chain reaction (PCR). ExoDisc provides .95% recovery of EV's, 3-17 times higher yeild and ?5 times higher purity as compared with UC method.
