The NEW Generation Leica SCN400
The Leica SCN400 digital slide scanner pushes digital pathology solutions to the next level. Providing an intuitive, streamlined workflow and flexible scanning capability, the SCN400 was designed from the ground up to be faster than any digital pathology scanner currently on the market. Leica's optical engineers have produced a custom optical system which is at the heart of the SCN400, this allows users to visualize pathological and histological sections with unmatched resolution and specimen detail.
		Leica SCN400 Unique Features
		A Patented Dynamic Focus Mechanism which eliminates the time consuming process of focus mapping. Fast scan rate of 100 sec per slide with no pre-focusing required (15 x 15 mm sample @ 20x, 200 sec @ 40x) 40x, 20x, 10x, 5x optical magnification options. Modular design, easily upgradable to include automated scanning for up to 384 slides and multi-channel fluorescence Sides are held in 'non-contact' slide trays, which virtually eliminates the risk of damage during automated loading/unloading of slides Output file format is compatible with digital pathology analysis packages from a number of vendors

Leica SL801 High throughput Slide Scanning Module
The matching Autoloader Leica SL801 is capable of meeting the demands of high throughput clinical and research applications. By scanning up to 384 samples in a semi- or fully automating mode, the SL801 upgrade offers completely new options for automated operation and a continuous workflow. Samples can be arranged in batches and assigned different scan resolutions and acquisition parameters based on end user requirements. 1D and 2D barcode support allows for automatic file naming and population of sample/patient metadata.

Leica SCN400 Client and Web Based Viewer
An integral part of a complete part of a complete package the client software provides easy to use, fast operation of the slide scanner. The SCN client includes a secured customized database where images can be annotated, stored and viewed either locally or remotely. Access levels range from guest user (view images only) to administrator rights (full control, including remote control of the scanner). Multiple scanners can be interfaced and remotely controlled from the same PC. When scans are completed, automated notifications are generated and sent out to the necessary doctors/researchers, who can then log in and read the slides.
