Quorum WaveFX-X1 Spinning Disc Confocal System

Quorum is a leading provider of spinning disc confocal solutions and has an install base of over 40 Quorum WaveFX systems in North America with 35 of those installed in Canada. The WaveFX-X1 is a system that has been developed using the 6 years of experience integrating the Yokogawa Nipkow Disk confocal head. Quorum continues to lead this market by implementing our latest concepts for high speed, high resolution live cell imaging.

Our current offering is designed to accommodate a second, optional, camera for simultaneous image capture of 2 channels. All of our existing systems can be upgraded to incorporate this new capability. As the exclusive distributor for Hamamatsu Cameras the system can be offered with the following camera options: ImageEM 512 x 512 and 1k x 1k, Orca R2 and the D2.

At the heart of the confocal system is the Borealis solid-state laser merge module. This patent pending device provides unmatched efficiencies of light throughput and evenness of illumination when used in conjunction with a specially modified Yokogawa confocal head. We encourage your group to take part in a demonstration of the WaveFX and/or to speak with any number of customer references.

Quorum has over 25 years of experience integrating microscope components to meet the goals of the scientific community. There are many published scientific papers that reference our systems.

Above: This video shows the development of a Drosophila (fruit fly) embryo at high magnification over a 1.5 hour time frame. The fluorescence signal is due to a Histone tagged GFP (Green Fluorescent Protein) construct, and mutiple cell divisions can be seen to occur in unison over the 1+ hour timeframe covered in this video.

CellVoyager CV1000

The CellVoyagerTM CV1000 Confocal Scanner System is a fully integrated desktop imaging system. With its microlens enhanced dual Nipkow disk scanning technology, phototoxicity and photobleaching are drastically reduced, making it ideal for use in observing highly delicate life processes such as iPS/ES cell generation and embryogenesis. The system is easy to use and eliminates the need for a dark room.

Features include:
Compact all-in-one design - no need for a dark room

Reliable environment control
Reduced Photobleaching
Autofocus - automatically focuses on the glass slide surface fo rthe specimen.
Double- disk option - select the optimal pinhole size depending on the magnification.
Attachments include; 35mm dish, 35mm 3 dish, slide glass and microplate
